 KLEMEN MALI, the founder of the company
Born 1973 in Slovenia in a small town called Kamnik, Klemen started climbing nineteen years ago. As a certified IFMGA Mountain guide, he has extensive climbing experience around the world: Alaska, Canada, South America’s Andes, Patagonia, European Alps, and the Karakoram – Pakistan Himalaya. He has lead successful expeditions to the Alaska Range, the Karakoram, and has done lots of trips to Patagonia. His most notable climbing achievements include free-alpine ascents up to 5.13a and sport climbing routes up to 5.13d. He speaks English, Spanish, Slovenian. Filmmaking “Karakoram Khush 2004” is a story about a small Slovenian expedition to the Pakistanian Trango Range in the Karakoram. Together with successful climbers Tomaž Jakofčič and Miha Valič, we did the first alpine ascent of Eternal Flame route on the Trango Tower. Through interviews and on-location shots we tell the story through joy, fear, luck and personal views. It is more than a document of our successful climbing since the film creates a mosaic of all relevant aspects of being a dedicated mountain climber.
