WINTER INTRO MOUNTAINEERING COURSE

No previous experience necessary. Similar to the Summer Intro Mountaineering Course, but in Winter Conditions. We will start  with a day of Ice Climbing before heading into the Alpine for four days. Alpine experiences include: Winter Camping, Travel in Avalanche Terrain, Observing Snow Conditions and Crevasse Rescue Techniques. In this course we will travel by Ski Touring or Snowshoeing: your choice!

This course will include a Pre-Trip Session a week prior where the guide will discuss Trip Planning: Route Finding, Clothing, Food and Equipment requirements.

DURATION: 5 DAYS (1DAY/ICE CLIMBING, 4DAYS/ALPINE)

COURSE COST: $940 + hst (min 3 persons)
